Country Market-The Changing Seasons 03

Snow cover and icicles reflect the seasonal changes at the Country Market. Winter weather abounds!

I am not a fan of snow because of the driving challenges. But, I was pleased to have a chance to capture the beauty of fallen snow last week for the Changing Seasons photo challenge. We experience all four seasons here and I would have been disappointed had there been no snowy scenes to photograph.

This is my third installment for Cardinal Guzman’s Monthly Photo Challenge. We are to post 5-20 pictures each month at a nearby location to showcase the changing of seasons and hone our photography skills. You should check out his photos and the links that he posts to other entries you may also enjoy viewing. You can see my previous galleries by clicking on the Changing Seasons header at the top of this page.

Now that winter has had it’s say, with limited lingering snow, I am looking forward to the arrival of Spring! We spring our clocks forward this weekend for Daylight Savings Time and I love the extended light of day!

  1. Beautiful, and so foreign to me! I went out yesterday to do my changing seasons shots and it was blue skies, sunshine and some 35 degrees C. Hot and humid. I’m sad that we don’t get to experience snow here, but I can’t imagine dealing with the challenges associated with it.

    • Snow can be pretty. but after 4 snowfalls in 20 days I’m tired of shoveling! So no snow Brisbane? In your travels have you ever been in the snow or gone skiing? If only there was a way to keep snow off the roads and sidewalks!

  3. Here’s hoping there’s a major meltdown by next month. This location was a brilliant choice for this challenge, Tildy. Can’t wait to see bags of potting soil stacked up!

    • Thanks, Barbara! You may not have seen it, but my challenge post from last month does have a few photos with bright stacks of potting soil! (You can take a look under the changing seasons header at the top of my blog if interested.) I am so ready for spring and am happy it is warmer here today. I hope you have a great day!

  4. I’m glad that you got those winter shots, but I agree: we’re all looking forward to the spring now. Winter has its charm, but it’s too long, cold & dark.
