Weekly Cover Makeover Challenge (Premiere Post)
This is my entry for the new Photo101Rehab cover makeover challenge inspired by Lucile and DesleyJane. This week’s theme is: “THE LONG WAY HOME”, a book from Louise Penny. I haven’t read the actual book yet so I can’t offer a review. The photo is from my archive and had a nostalgic feel to me that seemed to fit the book title. I used the app called “over” to place the text over my photograph.
Here are the details of the new Photo Rehab Weekly Photo Challenge – Cover Makeover!
The challenge is to make a cover for the book, CD or movie that will be shared every Thursday. Every Thursday we will be given the name of a book or movie, etc. and the hosts will share their take on a new cover. We must prepare our own cover by using our archive photos or shooting a new one to go with the theme. Then, we prepare our post and publish it, remembering to Ping Back (hyperlink) to Lucile’s page or copying the link to the comments section of her post. The tag #PhotoRehabCoverMakeover will be used so that we can find other posts in the WP reader.
Join in the challenge for some fun!

That’s really good!! You got the hang of ‘over’ then? Very talented!

Thanks Debbie. It was fun picking a picture. I managed to get the text on it, but I think I will still struggle with the text formatting for a quite a while!

Great work Tildy. I love how it looks like home. You wouldn’t mind taking “the long away” to get there. Thanks for joining in.
You mentioned reviewing the book – do you think the challenge would be better if we included a brief review of the book/movie/CD??

Thanks Desley. I don’t know if the review would help or hinder creativity! If I was familiar with the topic, I might make mention of that in my post so I would have something to say! Of course, the theme is more wide open if it is unfamiliar and open to any interpretation. I fear this answer has been less than helpful. 😱 What do you think?

LOL no no it’s good for discussion! We talked about whether it would be a book we’ve read or not but just went by title this time so that it wouldn’t be too difficult. Hmmmnnn will think about this one some more. Thanks again!
