Weekly Cover Makeover Challenge (eleven)

Movie Poster Makeover

Movie Poster Makeover

Unlike most people, I have never really been a big fan of this movie. But that doesn’t mean I don’t dance around and sing along to all the songs when I see it. Doesn’t make sense, I know. I thought being so familiar with the topic would make it easy. But, this cover makeover challenge turned out to be harder than I thought.

The theme and scenery of this movie are so well known that I immediately thought of mountains. I ended up choosing a photo of the Blue Ridge Mountains that I recently took, so no snow caps here. I am not adept at adding figures to my pictures, but I did have fun playing with the text. I think it turned out all right, although I am not sure it really conveys the happiness promised!

Still, *Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do* to you all! Enjoy your weekend as you sing along to your favorite happy tunes!

Thanks to Desley and Lucile for hosting the Cover Makeover Challenge each week.

  1. Great work. I’m still playing around with my effort. It has to have a mountain in it doesn’t it?

  2. Well done, we’ve been doing a lot of Do Re Mi at our house over the last two weeks. My daughter attended the Sydney auditions to play the role of Marta, the second youngest Von Trapp. This was her first audition and trust me, I’m not one of THOSE “stage mums”. It was all her idea. She didn’t get a callback but we had a fun day in the city and I took photos almost non-stop. Here’s our day: https://beyondtheflow.wordpress.com/2015/09/08/military-escort-getting-to-the-audition-on-time/
