Creepy, Spooky, Eerie

Happy Halloween!

The Imagecraft Bootcamp challenge this week was to make a creepy Halloween image. I tried to follow the host’s general guidelines for image changes using my camera+ app. I cropped a simple picture and rotated it so that the perspective was more unsettling. I desaturated the picture to black and white. I decreased the exposure and increased the contrast to make it seem more like night. Then, I increased the grain and clarity to make it seem grittier. The final touch was adding a blue filter which added a creepy glow.

I think it looks like a crypt coming up out of the ground. Spooky and eerie….

If you flip the image, you may be able to see that it is actually just a old porch stoop. Here it is compared to the original image:

Beware of your eyes playing tricks on you today! Have a safe and happy Halloween!
