Future Peace

Let There Be Peace On Earth

Let There Be Peace On Earth

“Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me. Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be.” – Jill Jackson-Miller and Sy Miller, song 1955

This week, Future is the daily post prompt that challenges us to share an image that represents the potential of things to come. I consider myself to be cautiously optimistic, a mix of realist and idealist. So, while total peace may seem unlikely in our lifetimes, I believe it is important to strive for peace in our daily lives and in our interactions with others. We may differ in our opinions, but that should not threaten peaceful discussion or the search for common ground.

Finding peace within ourselves seems a first step. Immersing myself in nature, my faith, music and thoughtful conversation are some of the ways I seek and find peace.

How do you find peace? Thanks to you all for sharing a glimpse of your life. I wish you all the best in your journey through this world!
