Opposites Attract
These birds are beautiful opposites! The smaller male House Finch on the left and the larger female Cardinal on the right share the same colors but not on the same parts. Just compare their beaks and wings and breasts and tail feathers! It’s amazing, right? They are such opposites that they almost appear the same at first glance!

This is the cutest photo, Terri. I just picture the cardinal giving the finch an earful: “You may think you look like me, but you are not me!” Oh, that poor finch. 🙂

Terrific shot. I have lots of both of those at my place. I have many times been in awe at how much they look alike but different. Does that make sense? 🙂

I completely understand! It wasn’t til I really looked that I noticed they were almost exact opposites. They blended so well together!
