July Haiku (Benched)

July presses on
Forcing respite from the heat
Benched relief of shade

Let’s talk about the weather. It’s hot. Heatwave hot. But I’m not complaining; I reserve that for the winter. I can handle the heat. Let me rephrase. I can handle the heat with a little help from a seat in the shade and air conditioning! Happy summer, y’all!
