Free Frame
This little free bird, perched in the open frame work of the old clothesline pole in my yard, is a Carolina Wren. The distinctive white eyebrow makes it easy to identify as a wren. Here, it is patiently waiting its turn at the feeder.
To see more cool backyard birds, you can click on the Birds header at the top of the page. I can’t stop taking pictures of birds because they fascinate me! Each one is beautiful and amazing in its own way. This continues to be the year of the birds!

We have Carolina Wren’s down here in sunny FL. They are so darn cute, aren’t they? And loud, too. Parker sits on the kitchen windowsill, just fascinated with their sound…..at least, I think she is fascinated by their sound…… π

Yes! Cute and LOUD! I was just saying that the other day. For such a small bird, they are loud- they have a recognizable sound!

Waiting its turn? It’s a little bird with impeccable manners. π

Yes, such good manners! My bird feeder has 3 perches and when they are full, the other birds just fly up to wait and watch for their turn. More polite than lots of people!
