I always wondered what these cool translucent pods were and I finally got around to looking it up. They seem to be the moon shaped, paper thin seed pods of the lunaria annua, or the Honesty plant. The plant, originally native to South East Asia, is otherwise known as a money plant. According to my quick research, people sometimes call them Chinese Money, Chinese Coins, or Silver Dollars. I guess I have nature’s bank in my back yard!
